Main Ref. Abonmai, T., K.B. Devi, K.R. Singh and B. Shangningam, 2025
Remarks This species inhabits rivers with swift, turbulent water currents, and a substrate composed of pebbles, cobbles and rocks. These are bordered by riparian forests that help regulate water temperature through shading, contribute organic detritus and allochthonous inputs essential for aquatic food webs, and stabilise banks (Ref. 138478).
