Remarks The species inhabits clear, fast-flowing water, with a substrate composed of smooth rocky bed and fragmented marginal vegetation. At the type locality (0.5 to 1 m deep and 10 m wide), individuals are abundant in cracks and crevices in the bedrock and can be readily captured manually (Ref. 132467).
