Remarks This species inhabits shallow, moderately fast-flowing streams about 3-5 m wide and 40-50 cm deep, with well-preserved riparian vegetation and substrates composed of gravel, sand, and pebbles. Individuals were found burrowed in the stream banks, while smaller specimens were occasionally observed swimming above the gravel substrate (Ref. 138853).
