Family:  Ariidae (Sea catfishes), subfamily: Ariinae
Max. size:  29.6 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; brackish; marine
Distribution:  Asia: endemic to the Philippines.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Feeds mainly on invertebrates and small fishes. Peak spawning seasons are during March to April and July to August (Ref. 138621). Caught by gillnet, fish pot, and beach seine (Ref. 138621).

Threat to humans:  traumatogenic
