Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 500 - 2782 m
Distribution:  Atlantic, Indian and Pacific (southern Japan, New Guinea, Emperor Seamounts and Hawaii) oceans.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Benthopelagic, inhabiting continental and insular slopes (Ref. 138533). Not used, but taken as bycatch in trawl fisheries (Ref. 138533).

Threat to humans:  harmless
