Max. size:  33.1 cm TL (male/unsexed); max.weight: 199.9 g
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 0 - 54 m
Distribution:  Southwest Atlantic: Endemic to Brazil, from Para to Santa Catarina.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Adult standard length is greater 20 cm (Ref. 57982). Additional collections may show an even broader distributional range for this species, as was the case with 48 other poorly known reef-fish species in the southwestern Atlantic (Ref. 57982).
