Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Bolivia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-10; Anal soft rays: 14-16; Vertebrae: 30-30. This species is distinguished from its congeners by the following set of characters: presence of humeral blotch; pattern of irregular vertical rows of red dots on flank; brown spots on the entire anal fin; black distal stripe present; pectoral fin with red dots; caudal fin with a single stripe on ventral portion; and light blue iridescence with black dots on caudal fin dorsal portion present (Ref. 138317).
