This species is distinguished from its congeners by the following set of characters: flank with a vermiculate pattern; absence of axillary lobe at base of pelvic fin; caudal peduncle depth 1.2-1.6 times in its length; distance between pectoral-fin origin and pelvic-fin origin 29%-34% SL; caudal peduncle 13%-19% SL; and distance between pelvic-fin origin and anal-fin origin 20%-23% SL (Ref. 138316). | |||
