Distribution:  Northwestern Pacific: widespread; from Russia (Peter the Great Bay) to the South China Sea, including Japan, South Korea, China (Yellow Sea to Hainan Island), Taiwan, and Vietnam.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-13; Anal soft rays: 9-12
Biology:  Inhabits shallow waters with sandy-muddy bottoms (Ref. 11230, 41299).
