Max. size:  13.13 cm TL (male/unsexed); 11.7 cm TL (female)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 1 - 68 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Djibouti; Egypt; Eritrea; Israel; Jordan; Maldives; Saudi Arabia; Seychelles; Somalia; Sudan; Yemen.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Benthic fishes found on sandy or muddy substrates, among weeds and in coral reefs from tide pools and the surf zone (Ref. 96610). Feeds commonly on worms, snails and crustaceans (Ref. 138936).
