Definition of Term

extrusion
(English) In ichthyology, the process of pushing out eggs by a spawning female. In aquaculture, the process by which diets are prepared by passing the ingredients through a die under high pressure and temperature. When the feed leaves the die, it expands and a pellet that will float is formed. (See also: ichthyology, egg, spawning)
