| Diagnosis |
Complete lateral line, 2 pairs of short barbels, no infraorbital process, 8-9 branched dorsal fin-rays and 12-13 branched anal fin-rays. Dark mid-lateral stripe from above pelvic to end of median caudal rays. A second, weakly pigmented stripe above mid-lateral one, fading away above anal base. Anteriorly on the sides, the striped pattern not distinct, with a few short, light, thin horizontal stripes scattered over slightly darker ground color (Ref. 43281). A cleithral spot is present immediately posterior to the gill-opening. There is a dark stripe along the dorsal midline, from the nape to the caudal-fin base. Both dorsal and anal fins have a faint submarginal dark stripe (Ref. 37788). |
