This species is distinguished by the following characters: a single light organ at mid-anterior rim of orbit, none at the lower orbital; anal-fin rays 31-34; prehaemal 29-30; total vertebrae 79-81; total lateral-line scales 63-65; dorsal-fin origin before mid-space between pelvic- and anal- fin origins; abdominal ridge without black margin (Ref. 120632). |
