This is distinguished from all its congeners by the following set of characters: D2 I,11, A I,12, pectoral-fin rays modally 18, with 1 upper free soft ray; vertebrae 16 + 20 = 36; posterior part of eye with a dermal projection on posterior part of eye. Colouration: head and body with small tiny brownish black spots; second dorsal rays are light brown; pectoral fin base with many small melanophores, the fin membrane with melanophores on basal region (Ref. 133051). |
