Diagnosis

This species is distinguished from its congeners by the following set of characters: smaller maximum body depth; eye diameter 10-15%, caudal filament 26-44%, caudal vertebrae 60-65 (N = 11); anal fin rays 146-174; total length 74.5-111.7 mm; displaced haemal spines 2-3; ventral margin of the maxilla convex shape in adults and less convex to straight in juveniles (Ref. 133102).
