Distinguished from its congeners in having a combination of the following characters: midventral region between pectoral fins scaleless; two rows of spots on dorsal-fin rays present; two black bars on caudal fin present, one complete in middle and another incomplete just posterior to caudal-fin base; lateral line with squarish to rectangular black patches, anterior patches obscured by the background pigmentation, patches decrease in size posteriorly; pectoral fin with v-vi unbranched rays; caudal fin with 10 + 9 principal rays; and lateral line with 32-33 (Ref. 95115). Description: Dorsal fin iii.9 rays; anal fin ii.6; pectoral fin v (4, including holotype) or vi (11).10; pelvic fin ii.7; caudal fin emarginate (Ref. 95115). |
