| Biblio Comment | Erroroneous record for the Red Sea. Bamber's (1915) and Saunders' (1968) reports of this species as Mugil smithii and M. troscheli respectively from the Red Sea were apparently misidentifications. Therefore Thomson & Luther (1984) did not include the Red Sea in the distribution map of this species. Based on the old records, Randall (1995) mentioned it from the Red Sea. |
