Taxonomic Remarks
Since the type apparently no longer exist and as neither New Zealand Kathetostoma species has been adequately documented in fully freshwater condition, questions remain re the true identity of this species. Thus, this species is therefore regarded as nomen dubium (Ref. 86516).
