Can be further diagnosed from its congeners by having a pair of foramina on the ventral surface of the vomer through which the ramus palatinus of the facial nerve passes, the round dorsal surface of the mesethmoid and the absence of an adipose fin (vs. vomer lacking a pair of foramina, ramus palatinus of the facialnerve passing lateral to the vomer; and a T-shaped dorsal surface of the mesethmoid (Ref. 91748).
