背棘 (總數) : 11; 背的軟條 (總數) : 15; 臀棘: 2; 臀鰭軟條: 15. Body elongate and rounded. Adipose tissue around eye well-developed, with a rather undeveloped eyelid. Scales large, cycloid, and very deciduous.
Body shape (shape guide): fusiform / normal; Cross section: compressed.
