背的软条 (总数) : 30; 脊椎骨: 25. Ventral limbs of swim bladder appendages bearing branches directed forward. Only 4 or 5 posterior appendages enveloping bladder. Females lack drumming muscles. Last pleural rib on 10th vertebrae. Mouth lining pigmented. Membrane between opercular spines paler posteriorly.
Body shape (shape guide): fusiform / normal.
