Adults inhabit rocky pools, often near riffles and vegetation (Ref. 5723); also found in small upland creeks over sandy substrates. They feed on chironomid larvae and pupae, and larger aquatic insects (Ref. 10294). Migratory behaviour is undetermined (Ref. 126106).
