Barbel absent or small on terminal mouth; less asymmetrical caudal fin; usually 62-65 scales on lateral line; and 1st gill arch with 18-23 rakers (Ref. 86798).
Found in shoreline (as young) and open water of Clear Lake. Formerly spawned in tributaries of lake (Ref. 5723). Migratory behaviour is undetermined (Ref. 126106).
