Adults inhabit lakes, rock-mud-bottomed or detritus-bottomed pools and backwaters of lowland creeks and small to large rivers (Ref. 5723, 10294). They feed on midge, isopods, amphipods, mayfly and caddis larvae (Ref. 10294).
