Etymology: Pimelodella: Diminutive latinized of greek, pimele = fat + Greek, odous, odella = little teeth (Ref. 45335).
Eponymy: Lewis M Dorsey Jr. appears to have been one of Fowler’s many contacts in the Philadelphia area, to whom Fowler stated he was ‘indebted for local fishes.’ He may have been an architect or draftsman (fl. 1904–1936). (Ref. 128868), visit book page.
