背棘 (總數) : 7; 背的軟條 (總數) : 19 - 21; 臀棘: 3; 臀鰭軟條: 16 - 18. Slender triangular dermal flap dorsally on eye of adults; head and body yellow with rows of large white blotches, a pale-edged brown spot on opercle; dark red dots on head, many in rows, and scattered dark red spots on body (Ref. 49111).
