描述: (以 18件標本為依據): 成魚的高度: 5.0-8.0 公分。 環: 11+37-38.(36-39) 吻的長度: 2.2-2.3 分之一頭長。 背鰭鰭條: 17-18個覆蓋 2-3+1-2 環。 胸鰭鰭條: 15.(13-16) 冠: 些微凸起的有五個極小的點尖。 棘: 小的, 但是相當銳利的; 偶然的棘擴大了而且平的了。 其他的顯著特性: 小且利的, 略微鉤狀的雙眼與頰的棘; 在冠之前的突出﹐銳利的﹐和鉤狀的棘; 在冠後面的二根棘。 彩色斑紋: 金的橘色, 紅色的或粉紅色; 增大的癤瘤較明亮的顏色; 頭部，冠與吻橘色的褐色; 小袋在雄性中比身體的其餘部分灰白; 一些具有黑色的雜斑。
