The single-based branch of the barbel arises from a stem at 56-71% BL and ends to or beyond the barbel tip. Dendritic side filaments off main branch, usually with elongate ovoids or bulblets, growing wee distal to branch origin. The distal, unpigmented part of the bulb laterally flattened (Ref. 34246).
Body shape (shape guide): elongated.
Known from mid water depths of 2000 m (Ref. 34246).
