背的軟條 (總數) : 10; 臀鰭軟條: 14 - 20. The possession of a dark, vertically elongate humeral bar in mid-sized and larger specimens or the presence of a diffuse patch of chromatophores in that region in the smaller individuals examined distinguishes Attonitus irisae from Attonitus bounites and Attonitus ephimeros. Dorsal fin with 2 unbranched and 8 branched ray. Anal fin with 3 unbranched and 14-17, most commonly 15-16, branched rays (Ref 53400).
在中型而比較大的標本中擁有一條深色的, 細長垂直的肱骨橫帶或者那有一個色素胞的擴散小區塊那裡在被調查的較小的個體的區域區別來自 Attonitus bounites 與 Attonitus ephimeros 的 Attonitus irisae. 背鰭有 2 不分枝的與 8個分枝的鰭條。 臀鰭有 3 不分枝的與 14-17, 最通常 15-16, 分支條 (參考文獻 53400).
