Etymology: patriciae: Named for Mrs. Patricia Eggleston, presumably the wife of the collector of the holotype, Dr. D. Eggleston.

About 40 lateral scales and 35 predorsal scales, the latter reaching anteriorly between the orbits onto the snout, ending at the level of the anterior nasal openings, a transverse row of cheek papillae between the posterodorsal eye and the upper longitudinal row, another transverse row connecting the two longitudinal rows.
