背棘 (總數) : 0; 背的軟條 (總數) : 13 - 17; 臀棘: 0; 臀鰭軟條: 15 - 16. Males with dark red spots on lower part of head and throat; dorsal and anal fins with wide white-blue to light blue margins; caudal fin plain red; females with spots on head, body and unpaired fins (Ref. 42930).
