背棘 (總數) : 1; 背的軟條 (總數) : 4; 臀鰭軟條: 11 - 12; 脊椎骨: 45 - 46. Distinguished from other members of the genus by having a truncate caudal fin and a very low adipose fin with an indistinct posterior margin (length of adipose fin base 29.5-38.5% SL; dorsal to adipose distance 25.0-32.8% SL) (Ref. 37785).
