背棘 (總數) : 0; 背的軟條 (總數) : 12 - 15; 臀棘: 0; 臀鰭軟條: 15 - 19; 脊椎骨: 33 - 36. 10-13 AO photophores; 7.5-8 tooth patches on the lower limb of the second gill arch; 32-34 lateral line organs (Ref. 36121). Pectoral fin rays pointing directly downward in larger specimens; rays progressively thicker, stiffer, and relatively shorter in larger specimens but remnants always visible externally, apparently not covered with skin even in specimens 9-10 cm SL in length (Ref. 36121).
