Adults found in surge-affected shallows with a variable-sized boulder substrate (Ref. 31117). They stay close to shelter (Ref. 31117). Oviparous, distinct pairing during breeding (Ref. 205). Eggs are demersal and adhere to the substrate (Ref. 205). Males guard and aerate the eggs (Ref. 205). Diurnal species (Ref. 52881).
