Distinguished from known Bryconamericus species by: soft, flexible lips that completely cover the external row of teeth of the premaxilla when the mouth closed; a long and wide fontanel (principally in the middle and posterior part); and by the insertion of the first four pterygiophores in front of the anal fin on the haemal spine of the third caudal vertebra (Ref. 49955).

与已知 Bryconamericus 种区分了被: 完全地覆盖前颌骨的齿的外部列的软又柔韧有弹性的唇当嘴巴关闭的时候; 一个长与宽的囟门;(主要地在中央与较后面的部分中) 而且藉由在第三个尾部的脊椎骨的脉棘上的臀鳍前面中的前面四个支鳍骨的嵌入.(参考文献 49955)
