Distinguished from all members of Bicanestrinia subgenus by following characters: the lack of a black spot on caudal base, reduced of 3rd Gambetta zone, absence of 5th Gambetta zone. The shape of the mouth, suborbital spines, laminae circularis and scales (Ref. 79008).
