Etymology: Sternarchorhynchus: Greek, sternon = sternon, + Greek, archos = anus + Greek, rhyngchos = snout (Ref. 45335); kokraimoro: Named for the Kokraimoro group, within the Kayabo tribe, whose ancestral lands included the type locality. of the species.
Eponymy: The Kokraimoro is a group within the Kayabo tribe whose ancestral lands included the holotype’s locality in the Rio Xingu, Pará, Brazil. (Ref. 128868), visit book page.
