Etymology: Apteronotus: Greek, apteros = without wings / (in this cases, fins) + Greek, noton = back (Ref. 45335); lindalvae: Named for Lindalva Sales da Costa Serrão, who has been contributing to the organization of INPA’s fish collection for more than two decades.
Eponymy: Lindalva Sales da Costa Serrão has been contributing to the organisation of INPA’s (q.v.) fish collection for more than 20 years. (Ref. 128868), visit book page.
