Colouration: males with pink mostly horizontal vermiculate lines on the ventral and posterior part of the body and distal tips of caudal fin broadly pink-purple (Ref. 127477).

Collected in trawls at depths ranging from 110-119 m, and with two other species likely form mixed-species aggregations in the water column well above the bottom, feeding on plankton (Ref. 127477).
