of characters: D I,54; A I,42; pectoral rays 25; pelvic rays 18; snout length 7-8 times in SL; head depth >2.5 times in SL. Colouration: body uniformly is silver with oblong and irregular white spots over entire body and extending on to anal fin (Ref. 126789).
Cross section: compressed.
This species is considered inedible and hence, discarded into the sea immediately after their capture (Ref. 138826).
