背的软条 (总数) : 7; 臀鳍软条: 5; 脊椎骨: 36 - 37. This species is distinguished from its congeners by the following set of characters: a single pair of oral barbels; 51-56 scales in lateral-line series; fewer vertebrae and absence o dark spots on its back (Ref. 133015).

The species inhabit streams with average width and depth of 3 meters and 0.5 meters, respectively. They dwell predominantly on boulders and cobbles substratum (Ref. 133015).
