Etymology: Leptorhamdia: Greek, leptos = thin + Brazilian vernacular name, Nhamdia/Jamdia (Ref. 45335); kamilai: Name 'kamilai' in honor of Dr. Kamila Mayumi Duarte Kuabara, an entomologist and lab manager of the Ornithology Department at The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University.
