背棘 (總數) : 2; 臀棘: 0. Scales rather large, with slender conical to somewhat lanceolate and flattened spinules arranged in widely divergent V row or in quincunx order. Snout with black margin along its leading edge only; gums all white; first dorsal fin uniformly blackish.
