Écologie
; eau douce; saumâtre benthopélagique. Tropical; 26°C - 30°C (Ref. 12468); 14°N - 6°N
Africa: Guinea Bissau (Corubal River) to Liberia (Lofa River)(Ref. 52307, 53405).
Taille / Poids / Âge
Maturité: Lm ?  range ? - ? cm
Max length : 25.0 cm TL mâle / non sexé; (Ref. 5163)
Épines dorsales (Total) : 13 - 16; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total) : 12 - 14; Épines anales: 3; Rayons mous anaux: 8 - 10. Diagnosis: lower pharyngeal bone about as long as broad, and with anterior lamella shorter than toothed area; median pharyngeal teeth not broadened; dorsal fin with 13-16 spines and 12-14 soft rays; soft dorsal and upper tip of caudal bordered with orange-red; "tilapia" spot clearly marked even in adults; dorsal and caudal fins not or feebly blotched (Ref. 53405).
