Etymology: Uegitglanis: Uegit = a pool in Uegit, Somalia + Greek, glanis = a fish that can eat the bait without touching the hook; a cat fish. This fish was found in a pool associated with a spring (Ref. 45335).
Eponymy: Lieutenant-Colonel Vittorio Tedesco Zammarano né Tedesco (1890–1959) (Zammarano was his stepfather’s name) was an Italian traveller, zoologist, cartographer, geographer and hunter, who was involved with the Museo Civico di Milano. [...] (Ref. 128868), visit book page.
